outings in two starts since returning from a four-month layoff but had bad luck
both times with a bad start two races ago and a tough trip last time. Now goes
out in the key third start back off the layoff and just needs a clean trip to
deliver for the high percentage jockey/trainer combo of Joel Rosario and
Charlton Baker.

#3 Gia Michael had run in a lot of turf races and a lot of
races at longer distances, but it seems they’ve figured out that this horse has
been a better dirt sprinter all along. Got the n2l claiming win in a dirt
sprint and then has run solid outings twice in a row at the n3l level dating back
to May, including a third-place finish last time when just a nose out of
second. Stacks up well against today’s competition.
Play
in exacta box with #5 Moment of Triumph, who was the other half of the photo finish for second
along with Gia Michael at this class level last time, so if you like one of ‘em,
you’ve gotta like them both. Rebounded from a flop at Saratoga two races ago
and now seems back on track. Doesn’t win a lot, but seems to do her best
running here at Belmont.
