#1 Iona Mode goes out for trainer Brian Lynch, who again has
entered two uncoupled horses in this race along with the #2 Into a Hot Spot.
Iona Mode had run solid in-the-money finishes at Keeneland and Saratoga to
begin his career and needed the last race off the layoff. Should improve second
time back off the layoff today, and has a pace advantage over his stable mate
because there is a ton of speed in the race and this horse can sit just off the
leaders in a perfect spot.
Play in exacta box with #6 Getyourmindright, who invades
from Tampa off of three efforts so far with speed figures that stack up well
against today’s competition. Got tired last time at a mile, but the sprint
efforts were better, one at 7F and one at 6 1/2F. This horse has good early
speed and this cutback to 6F could just be the answer.

#5 Party in the Sand
Has been knocking on the door
vs. claimers since graduating three races ago, and both outings since than have
resulted in second-place finishes. Has a great chance to get over the hump here
today against this field.
