last time against better horses with a big class rise up against allowance
horses on a muddy track. Claiming races are all good, and back down at this
$30k n3l level, he just looks too good vs. these.
Play in exacta box with #4 Single Gem, who returns to
Oaklawn after having spent much of last year in New York, where he consistently ran well for this
trainer Diodoro. Toss out the loss last time out for another trainer, he
returns to Diodoro for this race and lands at the proper class level. Won at Oaklawn
last season, and his good speed figures are more than enough to win this, or at
least hit the exacta.

#12 Redeal
Winner of two in a row on
different surfaces at different tracks and comes in here for high-percentage
trainer Norman McKnight, who is scoring a mind-blowing 58% wins with his
runners making distance cutbacks from routes to sprints like this horse. Meets
a beatable field, and has the speed to go all the way but doesn’t need the lead
in order to win.
