Breez picked up right where he left off before the 3 ½-month layoff, hitting
the board with an allowance second-place finish. Earns consistently good speed
figures and rarely runs a bad race, and now switches to the turf with four
solid turf sprint showings in the pps from last year including a win here at
Belmont. Looms the deserving favorite in this race in the second start off the
layoff.
Play in
exacta box with #5 War Tocsin, who can add some value to your exacta boxes
along with the favorite at 20-1 odds in the morning line. Faded last time out
off the layoff, but now is prepped and ready to improve in the second start off
the layoff. The two races before last were both good allowance efforts against
solid fields at Parx and Aqueduct. Gets another chance today in a turf sprint
after running in an unrealistically tough spot the last time he tried the grass
in a $100k allowance race. The real tip-off that this horse is live here is the
fact that Manny Franco gets aboard for the mount for low-profile connections.

in a few turf sprint stakes races, including a second in the Breeders’ Cup
Juvenile Turf Sprint, and has even run big at up to 6 1/2F when second in the
Kentucky Downs Juvenile Turf Sprint last year. Returned from nearly a
four-month layoff last time with an allowance win over a similar field at
Churchill, and if anything will be even better today in the second start off
the layoff.
