horse’s first starter back from a nine-month layoff, and she should only
improve further in this second race off the layoff. Luis Saez aboard and he has
won 5 of 10 starts for Cox at Belmont the last year. This horse lands at the
correct nw2l class level for this repeat attempt, and is the horse to beat.

Affair has run all good efforts in four outings at this one-mile distance
including the maiden win last time out. Got claimed by Orlando Noda, who has 2
wins and is 7 of 10 in the money at the meet sending out all live horses, and
he gets Jose Ortiz aboard for the mount today. This horse ascends up into
allowance competition, but moves from open company to NY-breds, so she fits
well at this level.
Play in
exacta box with #4 Holmdel Park, who finished fourth at this level against a
tougher field last time out in a race that came in return from a brief layoff,
and she should be legged up for a good effort here today with that comeback
race behind her. Earned relatively good speed figures in mile races earlier
this year, including in a state bred stakes race at Aqueduct. The last race was
a turf sprint prep, now she back in at a mile and back to her preferred distance
and surface.
