of maidens here for the career debut. By star distance sire Curlin out of the
mare Plum Pretty, this homebred likely would have been a million-dollar seller
if she had come to auction. Debuts at one mile with fast workouts and Luis Saez
aboard for win early connections.

#7 Bears Mafia is a Finger Lakes
monster that had reeled off four wins in a row upstate plus one at Monmouth
this year and came to Belmont last time out and extended his winning streak to
six in a row in easy and impressive fashion by 4 ½ lengths. Speed figures good
and keep getting better, and this horse shows no sign of stopping. Tries a
slightly longer distance today at 7F because evidentally the connections think
he’s even better going 7. Owns good past efforts at this distance, so there’s
no reason to think he won’t win again.
Play in
exacta box with #5 Build to Suit, who had a terrific year in 2019 for Chad
Brown and seemed to particularly love Belmont Park with back-to-back wins here
last year. Has lost twice since returning from a layoff this year, but drops in
class to a much softer spot than he’s accustomed to and re-unites with winning
jockey Manny Franco. Can’t ignore Brown with these rebound types.
