race at morning line odds of 10-1.

improvement as a 2-year-old the further the distances went, including a victory
last time in the Street Sense Stakes at Churchill Downs at this same distance.
He’s faster than the horses in this race that have already stretched out and
the others in the race are untested and unproven at a route distance.
Play in
exacta box with #5 Cannoneer, who is one of the horses in the race unproven at
a two-turn distance but certainly could handle the 1 1/16 miles for top-notch
connections like trainer Brad Cox and jockey Irad Ortiz. Additionally,
Cannoneer could have a tactical advantage in the race as the best of the speed
horses who might get loose on the front based on his blazing wire-to-wire
Churchill Downs maiden win at 7F last time out.
