#6 D’Hopper is a Chad Brown maiden who meets a below par
field in today’s outing as the heavy favorite. Actually crossed the finish line
first in career debut last time but was the victim of a DQ. Should do the same
job today but today’s he’ll make it count.
Play in exacta box with #2 Alternate Reality, who gets a
beneficial cutback in distance to 7F after not factoring in a two-turn race
last time out. Two races ago ended up in an impossible key maiden race against
the likes of Slip Mahoney and Crupi. Best race so far was the career debut
sprint where he finished second by a half a length. Could be dangerous if able
to improve, at least for the exacta boxes.

Rarely finishes out of the exacta and has been in the
exacta in both recent starts. He’s probably the best horse in this race anyway,
plus he’ll have the additional advantage of being a lone speed leader in a race
with no other early speed. Looks lone gone on the front end.
