Seems to
be unjustly dismissed at 12-1 odds on the morning line based on a pair of
recent losses which took place on a synthetic surface and in an off-the-turf
race. Before that, she was on a serious roll on the turf with three wins in a
row on the grass that concluded with a sharp win at this distance at Churchill
Downs with a 90 Beyer speed figure. Can beat these with a return to form on the
turf.

#3 Vassimo ships in for Trainer
Todd Pletcher with Irad Ortiz aboard off back-to-back wins in Florida to begin
his career. Pletcher could have kept this horse at Tampa Bay Downs for last
weekend’s $200,000 Sam F. Davis Stakes, but he evidently thinks enough of him
to try this richer (and tougher) spot. He’s an overlay at 8-1 morning-line odds.
Play in exacta box with #4 East Avenue, who had a very
promising start to his career last year when he won Keeneland’s G1 Breeders’
Futurity in front running fashion in his second lifetime start and was sent off
favored in the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile where a disastrous start cost him all
chance. He's a good bet to rebound in this spot, at least in the exacta boxes.
