last time out with a typical good effort in her second race off a four-month
layoff after using the comeback race the time before as a prep. Doesn’t run too
many bad races, and looked very good in the win last time out.

box with #4 Auction Fever, who comes off of a couple of good speed-figure races
in third-place finishes in both of the recent outings here at Oaklawn,
including one on a fast track and one in the slop. Now takes a class drop into
an easier spot. The jockey/trainer combination of Arrieta and Contreras has
been lethal with a 39% win percentage.

Scratched
Sunday in favor of this spot. Found new life four races ago when switching off
of the grass at Woodbine, first with two good synthetic track races and then
with two good outings here at Oaklawn with a second two races ago and a win
last time. All of these horses in this race are a question mark at this rare 1
9/16-mile distance, but the fact that this horse was purposely spotted in this
race over another option is an indication that the connections like his chances
at the marathon distance. Looks good at 12-1 odds on the morning line.
