SPOT PLAYS
Race 3
#3 Easy To Bless
plus exacta box with #6 Madera
#3 Easy To Bless comes in on a
three-race winning streak and has won four dirt starts in a row with victories
at Aqueduct, Fair Grounds, and Churchill. Keeps getting claimed, and keeps
winning for every different barn. The second-place horse behind her last time
has already come back to win. Speed figures stack up well against these rivals.
Play in exacta box with #6
Madera, who did nothing last time out in a turf race, but had been in excellent
form before then and had never run a bad race in main track sprints. In the
most recent dirt race at Aqueduct, she went wire-to-wire with a speed figure
that would be tough to beat against this field.
Race 7
#6 Eagle Pass
This is a tough stretchout
assignment against a tough field, but this horse is a huge horse for the course
here at Belmont and should be up to the challenge. Boosted his record to 3-for-3
last time out at Belmont with a big win and a big speed figure in a
demonstration of how much this horse improves over this track. Can do it again
for underrated connections.
