#2 Bar Fourteen lost a
two-turn turf mile at Saratoga last timer after getting the lead but tiring in
the stretch, but now gets an excellent shot at a positive turnaround back here
at Belmont and back at 7F. The last time out at this distance was the maiden
win two races ago when he went wire-to-wire with a good speed figure. Looms
speed and the rail back at this preferred course and distance.
Play in exacta box with #6 Turn of Events, who has been
in good form in all three of the recent races including a win here two races
ago plus two seconds including last time out at Saratoga. Speed figures have
been consistently good and should do no worse than second again today.
Race 8
#12 Get the Candy
Both recent
turf sprints since adding Lasix have been very good, including the maiden win
here at this distance two races ago and the close second last time out at
Saratoga where she nearly went wire-to-wire again up at this level. Speed
figures stack up well vs. this field. Draws another beneficial outside post
with her speed, and should control the pace up front and take it all the way.
