Ran well for Rice off a six-month layoff, finishing second behind only a well-meant wire-to-wire winner. Switches to the dirt track but Rice had options for this horse and opted to keep him here at Aqueduct this season and he began his career on the main track and should handle the surface. Speed figure last time blows these away, Rice wins 29% turf-to-dirt, and this is the first time this horse has been healthy enough to string together back-to-back starts.
