Target landed in races with absolutely no pace to chase in a couple of
recent losses, which were both still solid second-place finishes. Broke through
with a win last time out with better pace to chase and should repeat that kind
of a win in this spot. The runner-up horse from his last race has already come
back to win.

exacta box with #7 Alley Oop Johnny, who two races ago chased a
wire-to-wire winner but still had a good return from an eight-month layoff to
run second. Needed the race and then
bounced last time out in a bub-par outing. Can rebound today and fits well
based on his many good local efforts at or near this class level.

Wasn’t quite
ready to go in return from a four-month layoff and settled for fourth but got
claimed by Joseph and now goes out for high percentage barn that wins for a
high percentage off the claim. Got off to a bad start in the loss last time and
is well worth another shot if he can get a better break.
