Came back
from a nine-month layoff recently with a Saratoga 5 1/2F turf sprint win to raise
his record at this course and distance 2-for-2 and should only do better in this
second start off the layoff for trainer Joe Sharp who wins with 30% of his
starters in their second off a layoff.

#8 Gilbane

exacta box with #1 Before the Wind
#8 Gilbane
returned from an eight-month layoff with a solid second-place finish by
a head in a similar spot last time out. Looks good here in the second race back
in return from the sidelines.
Play in
exacta box with #1 Before the Wind, who finally takes the big maiden
drop down in class against maiden claimers for the first time after 10 starts
at a higher level including three second-place finishes against better horses.
Becomes an instant contender at this class level with Jose Ortiz picking up the
mount.
