#5 All
Star Leigh began in last in a big field in 5 1/2F career debut but still
was good enough to rally for second in a solid time then followed it up to run
even better last time despite finishing third. Just needs a decent start and
will benefit from the longer turf sprint distance at Belmont Park.
Play in
exacta box with #6 Forecheck, who finished well to win a battle for second in
solid career debut going 5 1/2F at Saratoga and now gets another half-furlong
to work with at 6F at Belmont. Goes out for trainer Linda Rice who wins 26%
with a strong ROI with second-time starters.
Race 7
#2 Golden Siren
Got off to
a bad start in career debut and rushed up to challenge for the lead and still
managed to run a clear second, then came back to romp wire-to-wire at Saratoga
last time while in hand and eased up in the stretch after setting legitimate 1
1/16-mile fractions. There are other pace horses in the field but Golden Siren
looks like the speed of the speed and should go to the lead and go all the way..
