New York, NY (Sports Network) - Veteran horse racing announcer Trevor Denman has been named to replace Tom Durkin as the voice of the Breeders' Cup World Championships. This year's Breeders' Cup races will take place at Churchill Downs on Saturday, November 4.
Philadelphia, PA (Sports Network) - Last Saturday's running of the Woodward Stakes at Saratoga was to have been a redemption of four-year-old Flower Alley. A win in the race would have put him back in the picture for Horse of the Year for 2006.
